33th Day at MPS (30 Dec 08)

This is the last week I've been at MPS. It is quite sad because I will leave MPS soon. There so much things I've learnt while I'm doing my internship here. As for today, I'm doing my usual job such as photocopying, pay in the Pusat Siber Rakyat's collection and filing the all the receipts.

Then, I and Siti Nural' Ain go to the Management department to get the signature from the officer for approval of food serving for a meeting tomorrow.

Besides that, today is my turn to manage the Pusat Siber Rakyat. Today, there were so many people coming to the pusat siber and I'm quite busy until 5 p.m.

32th Day at MPS (26 Dec 08)

For the last day for the sevent week here, firstly I need to pay in the Pusat Siber Rakyat's collection at the counter. Then, I need to file the receipts in the file. Then, I and Siti Nural' Ain need to take signature from the officer at Management department for approval of food serving for one meeting.

Besides that,me and Siti Nural' Ain need to do the executive summary of our research and thank goodness we manage to complete it. I hope without no error we can submit the full report of the report to the Head of Department next week.

31th Day at MPS (24 Dec 08)

Nothing much I done for today...

As for today, I need to pay the Pusat Siber Rakyat's collection and do the filing of the receipts. I also need to set up the laptop and the projector for the meeting at the IT meeting room.

Besides that, I and Siti Nural' Ain manage to complete the translation on our research. Thank God because we manage to settle it before the Christmas holiday tomorrow.

30th Day at MPS(23 Dec 08)

Today I need to pay in the Pusat Siber Rakyat 's collection at the counter. After that, I need to do the filing for the receipt that have been payed. Besides that, I just ordinary office jobs such as photocopying the RFS form.

My Head of Department have asked the progress of the work that he have gave to us which is the translation on the reseach that we have done but we are still doing it. He asked us to done it as soon as possible.

So, half of my day I just sit back on my laptop to do the translation on the research..

29th Day at MPS (22 Dec 08)

It is the sevent week I'm doing my internship at MPS and I'm still have a week to finish my internship.As for today, I need to give the new digital camera to the staffs at 'Perancang Bandar' department.

Besides that, Mr. Azree the assistance officer has assign me and Siti Nural' Ain to search the questions that always been asked in job interview especially in IT area. He want us to be familiar with the interview questions so that it is easy for us to face the interview for the future.

28th Day at MPS (19 Dec 08)

As for last day for this week, I'm quite busy for today. Eventhough I just doing ordinary office job such as sending the important memos and letters to the staffs of MPS, it is quite tiring because I need to go to other departments.

That is not all, my Head of Department have asked me and Siti Nural' Ain to do the translation on the "A Whack on The Side of The Head" powerpoint slides from English to Bahasa Malaysia.

My translation work on the research that we have done from English to Bahasa Malaysia is still under progress and I hope I can complete it as soon as possible.

27th Day at MPS (18 Dec 08)

Today,nothing much I do. I just buzy doing the ordinary office job such as compiling the IT Bulletin and distribute it to all departments in MPS. besides that, I need to send the important letter and memo to some of the staffs.

Besides that, my head of department have asked me and siti Nural' Ain to do the powerpoint presentation about "A Whack on The Side of The Head" slides.

26th Day at MPS ( 17 Dec 08)

As for today, I and Siti Nural' Ain need to complete the statistic on the RFS report. At last, we manage to complete the data and the graph for the RFS report and Miss Azzah was satisfied with our job. Thank goodness...

Beside that, I do the ordinary office job. I need to pay in the Pusat Siber Rakyat's collection and then filing all the receipt. It was the first time I do the filing and I have learnt a new thing today.

I also still continuing do the translation on our research and it is still on progress.

25th Day at MPS ( 16 Dec 08)

Today, as I said earlier I have continue the analysis on the RFS report. I do the analysis with my partner, Siti Nural' Ain. After done the analysis, we need to do the graph based on the data that we have collected.

But early in the morning, I and my teammate, Siti Nural' Ain have been asked to set up the laptops and the IP addresses for the HRMIS seminar. Besides that, we have been ordered by the Head of department to translate the research that we have done from English to Bahasa Malaysia.

24th Day at MPS ( 15 Dec 08)

This is the sixth week I'm in MPS. Today I start my day by photocopying the notes for the Web mail seminar. After that, Miss Azzah has asked us to do the statistic on the RFS (Request for Service) report from January 2008 until November 2008 according to departments. It takes time for me to analysis it because the data is quite a lot. The analysis will be continue tomorrow.

In the evening, I need to go to the other departments to complete the new hardware documentation. There were several documentation that need to be complete such as the serial number for the hardware. Besides that, I need to do the photocopying the RFS completion form.

Today it is quite busy day for me. Tomorrow I need to continue the analysis on the RFS reports.

23th Day at MPS (12 Dec 08)

Nothing much I do for today because it is the last day for the week. Many staffs on leave because some of them continuing their holiday. Today, I do the ordinary office work. Then, I need to send the important memo about the seminar on Web mail. I need to distribute the letter to the selected staffs.

Today is last day for some interns in my department. So, we have done the farewell party for them in the afternoon. Some of the staffs have treat us with the KFC. It is so sad because they will not be here anymore. For all of them, I want to thank them for helping me while I'm here. I hope all of them will be in success for the future.

22th Day at MPS (10 Dec 08)

Today I'm continuing my research on the social network marketing in Malaysia and need to find the case study based on the title of research. I need to find the information about this title. It is quite difficult because the information is to little. So, I need more time to surf the internet to find the right and valuable information about the research title.

All day long I just be in front of the laptop surfing the internet to find the information on the research.That is all for today.

Tomorrow is the public holiday for the birthday of Sultan Selangor.

21th Day at MPS (9 Dec 08)

Yesterday is Hari Raya AidilAdha and it is holiday.

As for today, MPS are conducting a training seminar to the staff according to the new system call HRMIS. It is stands for Human Resource Management Information System. This is for the staff to be familiar with the system and know how to utilizes the system. So, my job is to set up the laptops and make sure it is connected with the intranet. I need to set up the IP adress so that the laptops are connected.

Besides that, today is my turn to manage the Pusat Siber Rakyat. My work start at 12 noon and end up at 5 p.m. It is quite busy day because there are many people coming in to the cybercafe.

20th Day at MPS (5 Dec 08)

Today, as usual I and other interns need to set up the laptops and set the IP addresses for a meeting.

As for today, my head of department has assigned me and my teammate, Siti Nural' Ain to continue the research. We need to do the research on the social network marketing in Malaysia and need to find the case study based on the title of research.

End for this week. Monday will be Hari Raya AidilAdha and it is holiday. So, I wish to all my intern friends, my academic supervisor, my industrial supervisor, staffs of MPS and all my friends Selamat Hari Raya AidilAdha. May Allah bless you...

19th Day at MPS (4 Dec 08)

Today, in the early morning, I and other interns need to set up the laptops and set the IP addresses for a meeting. After that, I and my partner, Siti Nural' Ain have to present our continuous research to the head of department. Other interns also need to present on their research which is Data Recovery Center and Data Recovery Plan.

In the evening, I just do the ordinary office work which is delivering the complete RFS ( Request For Service) form for the staffs that is completed. besides that, I need to do the photocopying invoices.

17th Day at MPS (2 Dec 08)

Today, I do the ordinary office works. Early in the morning, I and other interns need to set up the laptops and set the IP address for a meeting. It is a new experience for me because I know how to set up the IP address.

Besides that, I also need to deliver an important memo to certain departments. In the evening, I need to do the photocopying invoices. It is quite tiring because there so many invoices that I need to photostat it.

16th Day at MPS (1 Dec 08)

A new day for the forth week at MPS. Today my head of department ask me and my partner, Siti Nural' Ain to compile all the research that we had done. Then, we need to do the powerpoint presentation in Bahasa Malaysia. We need to translate all the research that we have done before this. It takes time for me and Siti Nural' Ain to translate it but we manage to settle it before the day end.

Besides that, I need to refill the cartridge for the printer one of the staff from other department. It is the first time I'm refill the cartridge and it is a new things that I've learn t.

15th Day at MPS (28 Nov 08)

Today me and my teammate, Siti Nural' Ain need to present the research on online advertising on the social network to my head of department, my academic supervisor and other interns. The presentation running smoothly. The difficulties that I need to face is when my head of department want us to present it in Bahasa Malaysia eventhough the slides is in English. It is just to test us do we really understand with the research or not.

After the presentation, my head of department and my academic supervisor gave us comments and advices on the presentation so that we can do it better. I will remember their advices so that I can implement it when I'm doing the presentation at class.

14th Day at MPS (27 Nov 08)

Today I and Nural' Ain manage to complete the research on online advertising on the social networks. We manage to do the documentation and the powerpoint about the research. In the evening, we have show it to our head of department and he satisfied with it. Then, he asked us to compile it with the previous research that we have done it. Thank goodness we manage to complete it according to the timeline he gave.

13th Day at MPS (26 Nov 08)

Today my academic supervisor, Madam Siti hajar bt Alias have do the supervision to my workplace. She arrived at 10 am. First of all, me and Nural' Ain do the presentation about our job description for three weeks at MPS. she was very satisfied with our job. Then, Madam Siti Hajar have a chat with our industrial supervisor, Madam Zalina bt Ahmad regarding our job at MPS. She also give us advices to grab the opportunity and experience as long as we are here. Her advices I will keep in mind always.

Today is the third week I'm in MPS. Seems like everything is going well here. As for today I'm continuing my research on the online advertising at social networks. I hope I can finish is as soon as possible.

Today also I get tips from my head of department. He teach me on the appearance to get the confidence from other people. I never though that I would learn it here but my head of department generously shared his opinion with me. It is good for me for the future.

10th Day at MPS (21 Nov 08)

Today as I said earlier yesterday that I need to present the research that I've done before this. I with my partner, Siti Nural' Ain doing the presentation in front of the head of department and other interns. In the early, I was a little bit scared but the respond from my head of department and my interns friends show positively, I manage to control my feelings and emotions.

After the presentation, I need to see my head of department. He gave me a new task which is searching about the advertising at the social network. So, I need to keep surfing the Internet next week. Hope that I manage to doing it.

Today is the last day for second weeks of my internship. I just hoping for the success in the next week. Have a nice weekend everybody....

9th Day at MPS (20 Nov 08)

As for today, I continue doing my research on the graph of performance between the online advertising and search keyword. I must compared it which one is better. I spend my whole morning surfing the Internet searching for the information. Tomorrow my head of department want me to present it. I hope I will present it successfully.

Besides that,I'm doing normal office works. I also need to deliver the IT bulletin to all departments in MPS. It is quit tiring because I need to go to each departments on each floor but it is okay because I can rest my mind before continuing doing the research.

I also have made an appointment with Pn. Zalina, my supervisor regarding the first visiting of my Academic Supervisor, Pn. Siti Hajar. The appointment was set up on 26 November 2008 on 10.30 a.m.

8th Day at MPS (19 Nov 08)

Today my head of department have assign me to do a new research. I need to do the research on the graph of performance between the online advertising and search keyword. I just surf the Internet for the rest of the day besides doing regular office works.

Today is my lucky day because one of the staff which is Sir Noor Has have treat me and Nural' Ain a lunch. Thanks to him for the lunch...

7th Day at MPS (18 Nov 08)

As for today, it is my turn to take care the MPS community center( Pusat Siber Rakyat) at Selayang's Stadium. My duty starts at 12 noon until 5 in the evening. I'm quite worried because this is the first time I need to take a look at the cybercafe. There is a lot of things that I learn when I'm at the cybercafe. I was expose with the cybercafes management system, how to deal with the customers and try to overcome if there is problems. I really enjoy managing the cybercafe because I can see many kind of customer's behaviour which I can implement in my studies.

6th Day at MPS (17 Nov 08)

Today is the first day for second week of my internship. I start my second week by doing regular office works. I also completing my research on the online advertising. I have to search information on Google Ad words and Yahoo! Search Marketing. I learn a new things on online advertising and I can add more know ledges on this methods.

Besides that, I delivering the memo from the IT department to other departments. Even though it is quite tiring but it was exciting because I can go to other departments.

5th Day at MPS ( 14 Nov 08)

The last day for this week in MPS. It seems that working in MPS is running smoothly. Today my head of department ask me to surf the Internet to search the costing in advertising for Yahoo and Google. It is quite boring because I have to spend my whole day in front of the laptop to search for suitable information about the task. In the end of the day my head of department teach me how to search using the correct keyword in the search engine. Anyway, thank to him for teaching me a new lesson.

End of first week for the internship. I do hope the works will be more fascinating next week. Have a great weekend...

4rd Day at MPS (13 Nov 08)

It is the forth day i'm in MPS. My supervisor have been back from her seminar. She said she will give me a task that need to be done. Besides that, I have already submit the Internship Registration Form to Pn. Laili through fax.

By the way, my head of department give me a task to be settled today. I need to do a research in 'comparing the web search engine and online advertisement'. I need to seek the information through the Internet. It is quite pressure because the due date is in short time period but I manage to complete the task. Thank goodness.

3rd Day at MPS ( 12 Nov 08)

Today is the third day i'm at MPS. My supervisor didn't been in the office yet because she's still attending the seminar. She will be back to the office tomorrow. Hope I will get some work to be done. Today I got assignment to do. I get the order from my head of department. I need to do the soft copy of the "Arahan Teknologi Maklumat" from Unit Pemodenan Tadbiran dan Perancangan Pengurusan Malaysia (MAMPU), Jabatan Perdana Menteri and do the summary from the documentation. Even it seem so easy but it is quite difficult because I need to read all the documentation before I do the summary. That's all I did for today.

2nd Day at MPS (11 Nov 08)

Nothing much I do for today. It is because my supervisor is not around. She went for a seminar for three days. I become more closer with other staffs.They seem to be pleasant for having me in their department. Today I have go to other departments to complete the new hardware documentation such as PC, monitor, ups and printer. I need to write down the serial number each of every hardware s. Even the work seems to be easy but I'm really glad to go to other departments to see their work environment. I hope tomorrow I will do some works more.

1st Day at MPS (10 Nov 08)

Today is my first day at Majlis Perbandaran Selayang. I start working at 8am and i was assign to IT department. My academic supervisor is Madam Zalina binti Ahmad. Some of the tasks that i learn are:

• Meet my supervisor and introduce myself to the staffs of IT Department.

• Learn how to handle the complains from other departments such server down and PC not functioning.

• Inspection the PC from other department

• Learn how to photostat report.
